Kathy earned her Certified Professional Coach (CPC) designation from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching and is a Master Certified Practitioner of the Energy Leadership Index (ELI-MP), an assessment that shows you where your energy goes. The ELI was life-changing for Kathy, and she delights in introducing others to its power. She is a member of the eWomen Network; the International Coach Federation (ICF); the Institute of Coaching (IOC); and SHRM.
Kathy earned a BA in Spanish and Interpreter’s Studies at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and even survived an attempted coup when she was living and studying in Spain in 1981. Her experience living there was a catalyst for exploring relationships and finding ways to help us understand each other better, no matter where we were.
Kathy adores a great cup of coffee. Her current favorite is
Big Riff, roasted by
Metric Coffee. She is a dormant operatic soprano who studied voice with Margot Moser—the first American to play Eliza Doolittle in the original Broadway production of My Fair Lady. Kathy speaks Spanish, is learning French, and reads voraciously. She had a podcast with
Elaine Williams called
Still Human, which dared to ask the question: “Why can’t work be fun?”
